Why TI sourcing requires MPN-level control

TI devices often have closely related ordering codes with meaningful differences in package, temperature grade, qualification, packing method, revision, or lifecycle status. A family-level description is not sufficient for a quotation or production decision.

  • Use the complete manufacturer part number, including suffixes.
  • Confirm the package, temperature range, grade, and approved manufacturer revision.
  • State whether the requirement is for new and original material only.
  • Specify packaging requirements such as reel, tray, tube, or cut-tape quantity.

Choose the right supply channel for the program
